I bought that monkey light (8-bit light) for myself for XMas. A bit pricey, but there are quite a few “glow rides” in my area that I need to step up for. And since I am not mechanically inclined enough to make my own pattern, this is quite a fun thing!
Last year I bought the Park Tools pizza cutter for my cycling crazy aunt, who redid her “bar space” in her house to a bike theme. The young cousins love playing w/ it (no blood letting has occurred to date).
One thing I have on my list that you might suggest who are looking for someone to spend a BIT more on them is some of the Foska jersey’s at wiggle.co.uk – assuming you are a jersey wearing person. I put the Irn-Bru jersey on my wishlist – as well as a red uniform Star Trek: TOS jersey from Think Geek. Nothing says “expendable” better than a red Star Trek uniform…. Here’s hoping someone loves me enough to spend the dough!

Here is an example of an event being held where these lights are a great addition to the fun- the Greenway Glow 2012:

I can add “it’s all about – ultra cycling” dvd/Blue ray.
Two Austrian guys made a movie about ultracycling and portrait 6 drivers.
I met them personally in Munich and was impressed how they did such a great movie with nice pictures and comments with low budget.

Nice list, like the look of the monkey lights. Might get them and the fibre flares. Going to look like a lit up Xmas tree as I ride through London.

What’s with the knock to Top Gear?

It’s worth pointing out that the manufacturer of the ContourROAM Waterproof HD Action Camera went out of business earlier this year so even though Amazon are still selling them (whilst keeping quiet about the lack of support from the manufacturer) you’ll be on your own if you need any support or warranty assistance, though under the UK Sale of Goods Act, that’d be Amazon’s responsibility so in the event that the camera stops working within the warranty period, I’d guess that amazon would have no choice but to refund you.

I got the monkey lights as a present a few years back.Look beautiful and you can be seen from quite a distance.Sadly, they stopped working recently(as have my wife’s which were bought at the same time)So beware before shelling out.
