It feels like just yesterday I was hearing the exciting news of the 2012 Olympics coming to London. Having visited Greece in 2004 to watch various events I was excited to once again be living in an Olympic city.
As of now the “lottery tickets” are available. This means you apply for various events and you are then entered into a lottery if the event is sold out. Fortunately, you don’t yet have to rush to the London Olympics site to form an orderly English queue. That is because there is no “first come, first served” system in place.
So, take your time, pick your events and just keep in mind to get it all done by the April the 26th. Also you’ll need a Visa card and an enormous bank account!
Below I’ve taken a brief look at the cycling events now available to register for. Remember, Track Cycling is the one event Britain is touted to win the most gold medals in. Therefore, grab some tickets to join the celebrations (fingers crossed!)

possibly none as they are kind of expensive

Yep, definitely expensive. Still be a damn sight cheaper than heading out to Rio to watch events!

Oh man, you must be getting excited huh? I’d love to check out all the riding and hang out in London during the Olympics, but I don’t think we’ll be making the trip over. I’ll be watching for all your coverage though.

Absolutely! Don’t know if the enthusiasm is shared by fellow Londoners but I think it will be fun – I’m putting my name down for a couple of other sports too.. Tennis, Running, Swimming etc
