Bike Week is kicking off faster than an English football hooligan in South Africa. Its aim is to get half a million people on bikes. It will do this using its arsenal of free breakfasts, organised bike rides, free bike repair sessions and plenty of patting people on the back for being a cyclist.
If you are an existing cyclist make sure you go along for your pat on the back, free breakfast and bike repair. More importantly if you are thinking of becoming a cyclist then this is a good time to get into it with the help of others.
The number of events can only be described as humongous. Here’s a roundup of some of the Bike Week events I think you guys will find interesting.

We ran an event in Hatfield Herts and as last year, attendance was thinner than we’d hoped.
So how about a blog survey on the best ways to get people to come to your family bike events? We don’t try to compete with CTC or the local Welwyn Wheelers cycle racers, so our target market is perhaps harder than most to reach.
We have a web site and use email for those on our reading lists.
Advice and suggestions welcomed.

Here in Bath there has been zero Bike Week activity; I would not have been aware of such a thing if I didn’t read bike blogs. Then again, we have a Conservative council who are only interested in maintaining the status quo for themselves and whoever has money.

No mention of Tower Hamlets Wheelers’ Glamour Ride, the best ride in London during bike week – in my opinion.

Very very poor Andreas. You’re a better writer than that
