Thank you for all the entries! We have our winner – Robbie Craig comment number 82!
We’re in full “giveaway” competition mode here on London Cyclist. On Wednesday we gave a £500 Wiggle voucher to London Cyclist reader Esteban who is putting it to good use towards a new bike. Today, I’ve been given the opportunity by Thomas Cook 2012to give away a Games Breaks package to one of my readers.
Thomas Cook is the official provider of short breaks to the London 2012 games. The giveaway includes official London 2012 Volleyball competition tickets and accommodation for two people for one night. The winner will need to book their place by the end of May.
The Volleyball is on the 3rd of August and held at Earls Court.
If this sounds like something you’d like to take part in then normal competition rules apply and all you have to do is enter by leaving a comment below on which sport you are most looking forward to seeing at the 2012 Olympics. As per usual we will be picking the winner completely at random.
Apart from the cycling events most looking forward to the 3 day eventing, Greenwich Park is going to be a great venue.
I managed to get 2 x tickets to a Womens Hockey Semi Final. My Mum is a huge hockey fan and also managed to get 2 tickets so we’ll be having a little family day out. To make it extra-special we’re going to camp in the Lee Valley that evening!
I’d love to see the cycling or rowing , two sports us Bits are great at!
I think the atmosphere in the swimming will be the best…so i would think thats my favourite….:)
Interpretive dance (with ribbons)
Synchronised Swimming
I’m an avid cyclist so most definitely the men’s road race. A real shame the organizers plan to charge for tickets to access Box Hill – completely contrary to the sport of cycling…
Watching the Rowing/Track cycling will be amazing having friends in both events. (Even they could not get me tickets though) 🙁
Wheelchair Basketball. I can’t wait to see someone do a dunk but they’ll need long arms.
I’d love to see swimming! But I couldn’t find any tickets..
Have to say it will be the Handball. Not a sport known to most Brits but something that could capture the imagination of the watching millions here and hopefully see a bump in participation numbers.
Volleyball and the marathon, old and new love :).
Haven’t managed to get any tickets yet, so looking forward to any of the free events really.
Looking forward to the opening ceremony and women’s relay.
Volleyball!
in case I get these tickets 🙂
Been trying to get some for ages, so wish me luck!
I would love to see synchronized swimming…
The beach volleyball will have great views and the marathon will be excellent!
I can’t wait to watch the BMX cycling!
Beach volleyball and, of course, any cycling events. Got to support the Brits there!
Really looking forward to some of the less marquee events, particularly the canoeing, handball and archery
I use to be a volleyball from grade school to college and continued playing semi professionally after college so im looking forward to see the olympic volley ball event, im also a basketball fanatic so i would like to watch that event too.
What ever it is at the paralympics that the other half has booked for us to go and see.
The road race – with a weekend planned in Paris for the final stage of Le Tour I’m hoping to see Cavendish pick up green and gold in the space of a week!
Men’s 100 metres final. Nuff said.
Volleyball (natch!) but also the Diving, the Cycling and the Archery taking place next door to me (but no, I don’t have a ticket!)
Cycling or the mens relay. The swimming is always entertaining too. Is there somewhere that average joe’s can buy a ticket from these days or are they still mission impossible to get hold of?
The rowing competition should be keen. I like the volleyball too. My son is going to the shooting events.
Jess Ennis in heptahlon or track cycling. Such awesome athletes.
There’s so much to look forward to – Eventing in Greenwich, Archery at Lords will be a great sight to see. So much great use of our city. 🙂
Mens cycling road race and the mountain biking event.
The road cycling event, hoping to get a place on Box Hill… 🙂
Would be quite happy to watch any of the events as it seems tickets are virtually impossible to get hold of 😉
I’d like to watch badminton because I used to be quite good at that in high school! Maybe I should go dig out my racket…. 🙂
Basketball
Given that I live 5 mins’ ride from the main Olympic park this one’s a bit of a curve-ball, but I reckon watching the sailing, from a vantage point on the hillside above Portland Harbour (with an iPad to get the close-ups) would be rather kewl. Having said that I’d be keen to get to see anything, but haven’t had any joy yet.
Obviously the cycling is of great interest but I’m most looking forward to the sprints – 100m/200m. More records broken?
Road Race cycling
I’d love to watch the volleyball.
Hope i win
Thanks
It’s got to be the cycling!
Cycling , Road race in particular
Volleyball of course!!!
Beach volleyball! Closely followed by the sandless version.
Road race cycling!
Decathalon! (old enough to remember Daley Thompson in ’84 :))
And cycling of course!
Women’s Beach Volleyball.
But only because I appreciate the athleticism and dedication involved.
I’d most like to see the road race cycling ath 2012 Olympics, but volleyball would be great fun too!
Men’s 100m Sprint final – the most exciting seconds in the whole of the Olympics.
Would love to see the sprints, tennis or, of course, the volleyball!!
Athletics!! Nothing beats the adrenaline of the races esp the 100m.
Cycling because I went to a talk on the velodrome and I am intrigued by the building
